Also ask what detergents are used (by brand name) for washing dishes and bedding – Do they include premium liquids/powders that contain anti-bacterial additives? softeners, and fragrance additives? Are they sealed properly after use for re-cleaning, or are fresh detergent packs used for each cycle of cleaning?

Perhaps during winter or in extreme weather environment, bring (and possibly use) suitable standard medicines (syrups, lotions, ointments, etc – check with your doctor) to prevent getting sick and reduce exposure to bugs, and hence spreading germs to other hotel guests.

Maybe ask for a cleaning and training schedule and manuals. Query what methods/items are used- e.g. high powered vacuum cleaner, specific cleaning solvents, rinsing policy not only within your room, but adjacent rooms (to prevent possible transfer of germs from one room to another)…
