Gansevoort Moves South – Opens in Miami Beach

With a New York sister property that regularly pops up in the tabloids and was prominently featured in the Sopranos finale, the opening for the Miami offspring of the Gansevoort New York was a highly anticipated event and so far it has not disappointed. The Gansevoort South, open just three months, has already played host to Lance Bass and his birthday party and offers the signature rooftop pool that has made the New York outpost the go-to venue for everything from movie premiers to ubiquitous celebrity sightings. Add restaurants by Phillipe Chow and the One Group (of STK fame) and the absolute must have VIP lounge, this one being offered by the group behind Mansion and Opium Garden, and you might just have Miami’s next big thing. Now we’re not sure how long we’ll be able to say this, but we’re seeing buy three nights and stay four deals for several dates throughout the summer. Availability is mostly limited to weekdays but even still, it might not be a bad idea to get in now before rooms become nearly impossible to come by. Check it out: www.cheapoair.com
